'Hobby Courses' at Science Centre

In this Dussehra holidays, Regional Science Centre in Tirupati conducts 'hobby courses' for high school students. Practical oriented training will be given in Chemistry, Biology and Electronics subjects. If interested, students studying in 8th, 9th and 10th classes can register their names at Science Centre before 4 pm on 13 Oct 2007.

Schedule for the classes is as follows:

13 Oct to 17 Oct - Chemistry
18 Oct to 20 Oct - Biology
23 Oct to 26 Oct - Electronics

NAVARATRI BRAHMOTSAVAMS 2007

The Tirumala Tirupati Navaratri Brahmotsavams 2007 will be held from October 12 to October 20 in 2007. There will be no Dhwajarohanam, Dwajavarohanam and Swapana Thirumanjanam in this Brahmotsavams. Below is the usual schedule for Navaratri Brahmotsavams.

The Ankurarpana and Senadhipati Utsavam will be celebrated on October 11, 2007.

On October 12th

Morning 9 am to 11 am - Tiruchhi Utsavam Evening 7pm to 8pm - Unjal Seva

Night 9 pm to 11 pm - Pedda Seshavahanam (vehicle in the shape of Adisesha)

On October 13th

Morning 9 am to 11 am - Chinna Seshavahanam (small vehicle in the shape of Adisesha).

Evening 7 pm to 8 pm - Unjal Seva

Night 9 am to 11 pm - Hamsavahanam (vehicle shaped like swan)

On October 14th

Morning 9 am to 11 am - Simhavahanam, a vehicle in the shape of lion.

Evening 7 pm to 8 pm - Unjal Seva

Night 9 pm to 11 pm - Mutayapupandiri Vahanam (a vehicle decorated with pearls)

On October 15th

Morning 9 am to 11 am - Chinna Kalpavriksha Vahana (a vehicle in the shape of Kalpavriksham)
Evening 7 pm to 8 pm - Unjal Seva

Night 9 pm to 11 pm - Sarvabhoopala Vahanam (a vehicle symbolizing all the kings on the earth)

On October 16th

Morning 9 am to 11 am - Mohini Avatarotsavam.

Evening 7 pm to 8 pm - Unjal Seva

Night 9 pm to 12 pm - GarudaVahanam.

On October 17th

Morning 9 am to 11 am - Hanumanta Vahanam (vehicle dedicated to Lord Hanuman)

Evening 4 pm to 5 pm - Vasantotsavam (spring festival)

Evening 5 pm to 6 pm - Pushpaka Vahanam

Night 9 pm to 11 pm - Gaja Vahanam (vehicle in the shape of elephant)

There is no Unjal Seva on the day.

On October 18th

Morning 9 am to 11 am - Suryaprabha Vahanam (vehicle shaped like the Sun chariot)

Evening 7 pm to 8 pm - Unjal Seva

Night 9 pm to 11 pm - Chandraprabha Vahanam (vehicle shaped like moon)

On October 19th

Morning 7 am - Swarna Rathotsavam (Golden Chariot)

Evening 7 pm to 8 pm - Unjal Seva

Night 9 pm to 10.30 pm - Ashwa Vahanam (vehicle in the shape of horse)

On October 20th

Morning 3 am to 5 am - Pallaki Seva and Tirucchi vutsavam

Handicrafts Exhibition at Shilparamam

Exhibition-cum-sale of Handicrafts from all over India in the name of 'Gandhi Shilpa Bazaar' is inaugurated today at Shilparamam, Tirupati. Conducting by Shilparamam in collaboration with Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, New Delhi, the exhibition offers various artistic handicrafts made by more than 150 artisans selected from all over India. The Exhibition is open from 10th October 2007 to 25th October 2007 from 10.00 am to 9.00 pm.

Keeping in view Navaratri Brahmotsavams, TTD is sponsoring cultural programmes at Shilparamam in the evenings. The schedule is given below.

Hyderabadi Food Festival at 'Grand World'
